The Big Move – 8 hours

Well, the day finally arrived. It was time to move to the hangar. I pretty much had done everything I could to the airplane in the garage so it was time to make it the airplane in the hangar.

I hired a local tow truck operator, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how they loaded and strapped the airplane to the flat bed. The trip to the airport was somewhat white knuckled seeing all this work on a flat bed and going up I-45 but it was mostly a non-event.

I followed this up with a U-haul hauling the rest of the parts (wings and empennage) so now I am safely located in a hangar at KCXO (Conroe Regional Airport).

Congratulations! I’m not sure there is any way to adequately describe the feelings of seeing your work going down the road but “somewhat white knuckled” captures most of it.
