The final section of the fuselage: yay!
Here I am assembling and attaching the roll over structure. This structure will also be the dividing point between the aft canopy section and the forward canopy section.
First, it was the usual gathering of parts (none left after this), deburring, cleco’ing, and uncleco’ing, and deburring, and then painting.

Then all parts were riveted together using a combination of blind rivets (with my favorite $19 Harbor Freight Riveter) and regular rivets (with my 2nd favorite tool: the rivet squeezer).

And lastly, the roll bar was riveted to the fuselage. A quick trip to the paint booth left me with an all black rollover structure.
So, this is the completion of the Fuselage section. 3 out of 4 Kits are now complete not including the very trivial purchase of the engine and avionics (uggh). My Finishing Kit is nearly at the end of its 7 month waiting list and scheduled to be crated starting June 13. Vans is apparently very backlogged, and crating may take 6-8 weeks. Plus I hear parts are backordered. I may not see the kit until August.
I guess this means I can go back to working on my golf handicap.
