Section 23 – Aileron Actuation – 10 Hours – Complete

This section was kind of fun where I installed some parts that made other parts move. In other words, I installed the so-called Aileron Actuation which basically connects the ailerons to the push rod tube which in turn will eventually connect to the control stick.

The pieces for this section consisted of the aileron pushrod (skinny tubes), torque tubes to bell crank pushrod (big tubes), and various torque tubes and bell cranks (white painted pieces).

The pushrods had eyebolts attached and positioned so they are a certain length from each other.

The process to install all the parts was not too difficult. The key was to make sure the torque tubes and bell cranks are in the correct position when the ailerons are in their neutral position.
