Section 19 – Wing Systems Routing – 5 Hours – Complete

There is not a lot to write about here. This section consisted of installing the wiring in the wings. The wiring is to power the wing tip Strobe and Navigation lights, the landing lights, the Aileron Trim motor (right wing), Auto Pilot servo (right wing), and the Magnetometer (left wing).

This section also made me think closely about the Pitot tube. The pitot tube supplied with the kit is basically an aluminum tube. This would be fine for an airplane for old fashioned round dial gauges; however, for the Garmin system I plan to install, a different Pitot tube is needed. I will write about that in Section 20.

But I did install the wiring for the pitot tube heat. This consisted of a twisted pair of 14AWG wire. I also installed the pitot/AOA airlines which I will describe more later. These are the green and blue lines you see below.
