I spent most of the afternoon finishing up the Vertical Stabilizer. This task consisted of riveting the skin to the spars and ribs as well as attaching the rear spar to the back of the VS.
I thought most of the day went well. I drilled out about a half dozen rivets but nothing went wrong (for once).

The pneumatic squeezer came in very handy when riveting the edges of the skin as well as the rear vertical spar. It is so much easier and more precise than the rivet gun and bucking bar.

My co-pilot was not around so no photos of me using the rivet gun and bucking bar this time.

Finally a part of an airplane that looks somewhat recognizable. 28.5 hours down, 1771.5 to go. Tomorrow we move on to Section 7 – The Rudder.

Very impressive Bob. Looks good.
